“An invaluable encyclopedic presentation of the near-miraculous effects of microdosing psychedelics. The data and, especially, case reports contained in Fadiman and Gruber's vast treasure trove will provide researchers with leads sufficient to fill several decades of future clinical trials.”

—Rick Strassman, M.D., author of The Psychedelic Handbook

James Fadiman PhD and Jordan Gruber JD have written the first comprehensive book on microdosing, using new research, answering questions about how to select among the most common microdosed substances, how and when they can be used, and potential benefits.

Microdosing can be a safe performance enhancer and an approach to a wide range of health conditions.

Jim—who was responsible for modern microdosing’s early development and current popularity—and Jordan, a writer who’s known him for decades, answer hundreds of questions, blending extensive research with detailed personal accounts from contributors worldwide.

The book also contains wide-ranging microdosing history, research, and science.

This book does not provide medical or legal advice. Readers should speak
to their health professional before engaging in any course of microdosing.

Welcome! Here you’ll find a place to (anonymously or not) share with us your own microdosing stories, questions, and comments. There is also a page of upcoming and past events that we will or have participated in, and one to invite us to speak or interview us. Finally, you’ll find our Updates, News, and Musings blog (including book and science updates and posts on a wide range of topcis).

JAMES FADIMAN, PhD has been professionally involved with psychedelics for over 60 years. He developed modern microdosing, including the use of protocols, specific dose ranges, and time off. He is the author of The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide (2011) and is the world’s foremost microdosing researcher.

JORDAN GRUBER, JD, co-author of Your Symphony of Selves with Fadiman in 2020, has written, ghost written, and edited over a dozen books in a wide variety of fields including psychology, spirituality, finance, and personal development. He has been close friends with Fadiman since 1990 and contributed to The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide.

“I consider this a paradigm-changing book. If the reports included here continue to replicate, then inexpensive, take-at-home, tiny doses of psychedelics may become a new option for people with treatment-resistant depression, chronic pain, ADHD, and a host of other conditions. The cases and data presented in these pages suggest that strengthening the body’s capacity for healing with these remarkably safe and mostly natural substances is a realistic, researchable, and exciting alternative.”

This is a book reporting on other people’s research and individual self-reports. It is not an opinion book, it does not espouse any theory, and it does not intend to suggest to anyone that they microdose. It does overwhelmingly report positive results. It’s more like putting out a beautifully cooked feast and indicating that if you wish to eat, that’s your decision.
